The United States is currently spending approximately 600 billion dollars on military expenditures. That is approximately 400% more than China.
China is currently spending approximately 150 billion dollars on military expenditures. That is approximately 400% more than Russia. And France. And the UK. And Japan. And Germany.
...no countries budget anything for aggressive military weaponry...
Interestingly, no countries budget anything for aggressive military weaponry. It is all for defense, they say.
Consequently, it is my opinion that since there are no aggressor nations, all nations could reduce their military spending 50% - if all nations so agreed - with no resulting degradation in their defense status and capabilities vis a vis all other nations.
Imagine what we in the US could do with an extra couple of hundred billion dollars in our annual budget!
